Creating
Destino Community on Campus God
is working on your campus. We are committed to helping emerging leaders grow in
their relationship with God and empowering students to
take the truth of Jesus Christ to the campus, to the
community, and to the world.

1. Pray
God Works:
Prayer is essential
and the first step in being part of a Destino
community.
- Mobilize others to join us in prayer
- Because we want to build on the right
foundation.
Read these verses:
1 Corinthians 3:10-15
Matthew 9:37,38 |
2.
Tell your story
We have the
opportunity to tell others our story of what God has done in and
through us. Your friends and fellow students
need to see a passionate, dynamic Latino leader for
Christ. Jesus sends people
out to share with others.
We can be:
1. Salt (Matthew 5:13)
2. Light (Matthew 5:14-16)
3. Witness (Acts 1:8)
|
3.
Coaching - helping others This is our call to
action in ministry. It is important because
the very last words Jesus spoke encouraged us to
coach others. (See Matthew
28:18-20)
1. Go
2. Make disciples (Teach, Train, Model,
Mentor)
Also, we should all be involved in three coaching
relationships:
1. "Paul" - We
all need mentors. Develop relationships with someone who is more experienced in
their walk with God.
2. "Barnabas" -
An equal. A person in the same place you are
in your walk. We probably have more of this
type of relationships.
3. "Timothy"
- Invest in those younger in the
faith. Timothy was younger and mentored by
Paul so, we can
encourage, guide, and coach.
I planted, Apollos watered, but God causes the
growth. For we are Gods fellow workers.
(1Corinthians. 3:6-7).

4.
God Uses Us to Help Others
God has a plan and
can use us. See Acts 1:8 where He sent them
out in the power of the Holy Spirit. The
people following Christ went to others in this
order:
1. Jerusalem - They first went to their
neighbors
2. Judea - Then to those nearby
3. Samaria - Then to the neglected people in
their area
4. Ends of the earth - the rest
How then, can they call on the one they have not
believed in? And how can they believe in the
one of whom they have not heard? And how can
they hear without someone preaching to
them? And how can they preach unless you are
sent? |
A Destino
Community Transformed: (Acts 2:42-47)
Can you imagine your
campus if God started to work? What would be true
about your school if you had a Destino community like
the community in the book of Acts? These are
things you would see:
1. People would be devoted to the
teaching of the word.
2. People would be devoted to fellowship - being
together
3. They would be devoted to prayer
4. There would be a sense of awe - God is working in the midst
of us
5. There would be wonders and miraculous signs - Students coming
to know Christ
6. There would be a community of people who know
Christ meeting one another's
spiritual, emotional,
and physical needs.
