1: Para Comer ~ Food for the soul PARA COMER ~ FOOD FOR THE SOUL The Tongue ~ El Poder de la lengua One of the most powerful and influential muscles we have is the tongue. Listen to the words of Christ, Matthew 12:36-37, "But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the Day of Judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." We'll give an account for our words? Why? What's the big deal about words? The tongue is a powerful influencer. Our words influence the lives of others. The question then becomes what kind of influencer are you with your tongue? How do you and I use our words--to influence healing, encouragement, and growth? Are we using our words to encourage people to know Christ? No one denies the importance of using our lives to influence others, but let's not forget how our words influence others as well. James wrote an entire book on the power of the tongue-it's a tremendous influencer. (For further study read James 3:1-12). Use your words to help heal those who hurt and to give hope to those who don't know Christ. Pastor
